What We Offer
Overview
Xtream Safety provides comprehensive mining-related training for employees and contractors working on mines. All courses, except Novice Introduction to Mining, require current employment on a mine or with a mining contractor. Every course includes 5 days of on-site practical training, ensuring learners gain hands-on experience and practical competence in real operational environments.
Our mining training is designed to enhance safety, productivity, compliance, and operational performance while meeting national unit standard requirements.

- Shaft Envelope / Logistics / Repairs: Practical skills in shaft operations, logistics, and maintenance.
- Stoping Team: Training in safe and efficient stoping operations underground.
- Development Team (PTV): Skills development for mining development teams, including pre-tensioned void techniques.
- Track Maintenance and Construction: Operation, construction, and maintenance of underground track systems.
- Winch Operator (Competent B required): Safe operation of underground winching systems.
- Gang Supervisor: Supervisory training for mine crews, focusing on safety, performance, and compliance.
- Stope Team Leader: Leadership training for stope operations, including hazard management.
- Development Team Leader: Supervisory skills for development teams in underground mining.
- GDI – The Use and Care Thereof: Instruction on handling and maintenance of Ground Development Instruments.
- Whirling Hygrometer: The Use & Care Thereof – Safe operation and care of whirling hygrometers.
- Tip Attendant: Training in operational and safety procedures for mine tip management.
- Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines: Certification for advanced blasting in scheduled mining operations.
- Shiftboss Course: Supervisory and operational management training for shift leaders.
- Mine Overseer Course – Part A: Preparation for mine overseer responsibilities and compliance management.
- Mine Overseer Course – Part B: Advanced operational, safety, and management training for mine overseers.

Training
Delivery
All courses can be delivered at Xtream Safety premises or on-site at client mines, depending on operational needs. Practical, workplace-based learning ensures learners gain real-world experience while remaining compliant with mining legislation and safety standards.
